IPOH: Despite frequent reports of online fraud cases, this type of criminal activity continues to target new victims.
To raise public awareness about the tactics used in online crimes, the Ipoh District Police Headquarters (IPD) took to the ground to deliver prevention messages.
The Meet & Greet Ramadan Bazaar 2025 program was held at the Klebang Ramadan Bazaar, organized by the Commercial Crime Investigation Division of the Ipoh IPD.

The program aimed to raise awareness among the public by distributing crime prevention pamphlets related to commercial crimes.
Activities included briefings on online fraud and explanations about the latest trends in commercial crimes.
Also shared were important details about the National Scam Response Centre (NSRC) hotline 997.
A total of 80 members of the community attended to show full support for the program.
It is hoped that this program will have a positive impact in increasing public awareness of the shared responsibility in preventing commercial crimes and online fraud.
Meanwhile, the Aman Wanita Squad (Amanita) conducted a crime prevention campaign in the Pasir Pinji Police Station area.
This was carried out in collaboration with Amanita IPD Ipoh, the private sector, and NGOs.
The main goal of this program is to strengthen cooperation between the community in crime prevention efforts and to improve relationships between traders and the police through the exchange of information and opinions.
