Lumut – The tradition of preparing and enjoying bubur lambuk during Ramadan continued as Markas Pangkalan Lumut, in collaboration with Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad (Bank Islam), organised a communal cooking programme at Masjid An-Nur, Pangkalan TLDM Lumut.
Held in conjunction with Bank Islam’s Ihtimam Ramadan 2025 programme, the initiative aimed to foster a sustainable and inclusive community while embracing the spirit of Ramadan.
The cooking activity, which marked the programme’s official launch, saw personnel from TLDM and Bank Islam working together to prepare bubur lambuk in a spirit of camaraderie.
The event was attended by Bank Islam Group Chief Executive Officer, Dato’ Mohd Muazzam Mohamed, and Western Fleet Commander, Vice Admiral Mohamad Azuwan Harun.
In the afternoon, the prepared bubur lambuk was distributed to TLDM personnel at Masjid An-Nur after Friday prayers, while portions were also shared with the local community in Manjung.
Additionally, Bank Islam presented zakat contributions to asnaf recipients, including TLDM personnel and civil servants, during the iftar gathering.
