BAGAN SERAI: Nearly 2,000 people attended the MADANI Breaking of Fast event at the state level in Perak with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, which took place at the grounds of Sekolah Kebangsaan Dato’ Alauddin here recently.
Anwar, who arrived at 6:50 PM, was accompanied by the Menteri Besar of Perak, Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad.
Also present were Datuk Mohammad Zahir Abdul Khalid, the Speaker of the Perak State Assembly; Datuk Seri Hajah Nancy Shukri, Minister of Women, Family, and Community Development; Datuk Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim; Datuk Seri Dr. Noraini Ahmad, Deputy Minister of Women, Family, and Community Development; as well as state and federal department heads.
During the event, Anwar presented the MADANI Sejati Program grant worth RM13.4 million to the Kerian District Officer, Saidi Shaari, as part of an initiative to empower social and economic development in the community.
In addition, he also interacted with orphans and presented them with ‘duit raya’.
He later broke his fast with the attendees before performing prayers together.
This breaking of fast event not only strengthened the relationship between leaders and the people but also reflected the MADANI spirit in enhancing harmony and the well-being of the community.
