IPOH: The welfare of Perak-born students continues to be a priority through the implementation of several initiatives.
This year, the Perak state government has allocated RM4 million for the Student Living Allowance and Emergency Assistance Programmes.
These aids are expected to benefit nearly 7,000 Perak-born students pursuing full-time studies from diploma to PhD levels.
The amount provided varies depending on the level of study, ranging between RM500 and RM1,000.
The state government also offers Emergency Assistance to support students facing urgent hardships—such as accidents, serious health issues, loss of property, or unexpected disasters—with aid of up to RM5,000.
In addition to these, the government has also allocated RM750,000 for the Student Book Voucher Aid, benefiting 5,000 students from Perak.
