SK Rapat Setia Students clinch victory at Global STEM Competition

IPOH: Four students from Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Rapat Setia have made Malaysia and the state of Perak proud at the World Youth STEM Invention Innovation (WYSII2025) competition held in Medan, Indonesia.

The students are Meor Mohd Irfan Mohd Fadhli, Azmin Marliq Azim, Aryan Harith Abdul Nafi’, and Aqil Nuqman Mohd Nazhan.

They successfully brought home the Diamond Award (the highest award in the international STEM innovation category), along with the Gold Award, Top 5 Award, Best Entrepreneur Award, and Most Liked Photo Award.

WYSII2025 is a platform for young people as young as seven from around the world to showcase innovative products and creative solutions based on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).

A total of 284 innovative projects and 641 participants from across the globe took part in the competition, with Malaysia emerging as the overall champion.

The outstanding achievements of these students caught the attention of the Perak Chief Minister, Dato’ Seri Saarani Mohamad.

The Chief Minister personally extended his congratulations and appreciation to them during a recess session of the State Legislative Assembly.

He also expressed his gratitude to the headmaster and teachers of SK Rapat Setia.

“May SK Rapat Setia continue to achieve many more successes and keep producing outstanding students in both academics and character,” said the Chief Minister.
