IPOH: Popular tourist spots like Plan B and Concubine Lane along Jalan Panglima here are constantly bustling with both local and international visitors.

These locations also serve as ideal spots for officers from the Ipoh Central Police Station to engage directly with the public through crime awareness campaigns.

The presence of female police officers from the Women’s Peace Squad (Amanita) in the area, interacting with visitors and local traders, reflects a proactive approach by the authorities.

Their presence helps create a sense of comfort and safety, especially among female visitors.

The main objective is to strengthen community cooperation, build rapport with local business owners, and share vital information.

Additionally, crime prevention brochures were distributed, and the public was briefed on the use of the Volunteer Smart Phone (VSP) app.

This app makes it easier for the public to report criminal activities, especially in residential areas, as a preventive measure.
