IPOH: Community cooperation is needed to curb the habit of littering in unauthorized areas.
This is because the irresponsible actions of a few individuals in polluting the environment pose various risks.
A report by Ipoh Echo/Peraktastic regarding an illegal dumpsite at Laluan Lapangan Perdana 24 has received a response from the Ipoh City Council (MBI).
In a statement, MBI requested public cooperation to stop illegally dumping waste in the area.
MBI will conduct surveillance and take action against those caught dumping trash unlawfully.
Residents of Ipoh can channel their feedback and complaints related to waste disposal via MBI’s WhatsApp complaint line at 019-5503083 or call 05-2083333.
Meanwhile, a follow-up visit by Ipoh Echo/Peraktastic to the same location today found that the illegal trash piles had already been cleared.
As a reminder, MBI is committed to its responsibility of collecting waste in designated areas according to a fixed schedule.
So, as responsible citizens of Ipoh, let’s not take the easy way out by dumping trash anywhere we please—use trash bins or dispose of waste in proper locations.
Cleanliness may begin at home, but let’s not dirty public spaces.
