IPOH: Perak holds vast economic potential to be developed through key, high-impact projects currently underway.
Among them are the Lumut Maritime Industrial City (LuMIC) Development Project and the Kerian Integrated Green Industrial Park (KIGIP), envisioned as hubs for green technology and investment in Southeast Asia.
This confidence was expressed by Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim during his speech at the 2025 MADANI Aidilfitri Celebration at the state level in Perak, held at Stadium Indera Mulia.
“Perak has a very strong relationship with the Federal Government, and as a result, the state possesses great economic potential through the LuMIC and KIGIP development projects.
“Perak also demonstrates efficient governance, with project approvals processed quickly and effectively,” he said at the event.
He further emphasized the importance of a highly competent administrative machinery to ensure political stability and sustainable economic progress.
“If we are easily panicked or prone to corruption, we will fail. Politics must be stable, and administration must be clear and efficient. Only then can we move forward,” he said.
He also touched on the spirit of racial unity, urging young people to understand the true meaning of independence and to reject racial sentiments that could disrupt national harmony.
Meanwhile, over 15,000 visitors attended the Hari Raya celebration organized by the Perak State Government together with the Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT).
The event was enlivened by more than 20 food stalls serving a variety of festive dishes such as ketupat, nasi himpit, putu mayam, apam lenggang, and dim sum.
Also present were Minister of KPKT Nga Kor Ming and Minister of Higher Education, Senator Dato’ Seri Diraja Dr. Zambry Abdul Kadir.
