Free museum entry on May 18

The public can take the opportunity to visit museums for free on May 18.

In a statement, the Department of Museums Malaysia (JMM) said the initiative is in conjunction with the celebration of International Museum Day.

According to JMM, the free entry applies to all museums under its administration.

“To our valued visitors, in celebration of International Museum Day with the theme ‘The Future of Museums in Rapidly Changing Communities’ being celebrated around the world,

“All museums under JMM will offer free admission on May 18.

“Don’t miss the chance to visit JMM museums across the country,” the statement said.

These include the National Museum in Kuala Lumpur, the National Textile Museum in Kuala Lumpur, the Music Museum in Kuala Lumpur, Kota Kuala Kedah Museum, Kota Kayang Museum in Perlis, Perak Museum, Lukut Museum in Negeri Sembilan, and Matang Museum in Perak.
