The Ipoh Private Series will take place on Saturday, 10 May, at ZUS Coffee, Taman Jubilee, Ipoh, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. This exclusive gathering will feature exclusive talks, educational programs, training sessions, and investment opportunities.
Andrew Chen (Facebook group admin of We Love Ipoh – City of Good Food), co-hosted with Harry Seggu (producer of Ipoh – The City of Millionaires and the author of The You Economy) are organizing a private meeting & talk series at Ipoh.
They will be joined by a panel of dynamic co-hosts: Sundralingam (Founder of Ipoh Heritage Walk), Anna Aziz (Entrepreneur and Digital Coach at AnnaAziz.com), and KT Pillai (Master Trainer and Public Speaking Coach).
Among the event’s highlights:
- “Fueling the Future: Encouraging Young Entrepreneurs to Rise in Ipoh” by Andrew Chen, who emphasizes fostering community identity, grassroots empowerment, and business development through Ipoh’s vibrant food culture.
- “Walking Through Time: Preserving Ipoh’s Soul, One Story at a Time” by Sundralingam, exploring how heritage tourism can generate employment while preserving the city’s rich history.
- “From Zero to Six Figures: Building a Digital Empire from Ipoh” by Anna Aziz, offering a roadmap to digital success.
- “Speak to Inspire: How to Build Confidence and Influence Through Communication” by KT Pillai, focused on public speaking and leadership.

One of the hosts for the talk series, Andrew Chen said : “There is no job opportunity in Ipoh, so most of the talents from Ipoh end up moving to Kuala Lumpur or overseas.” He mentioned that local sellers in Ipoh are also feeling the impact, as many of them are aging and struggling to find more young talents from Ipoh.
To change this, Andrew will be hosting with other speakers for the talk series together, which aims to encourage young people to explore new career paths, especially in the digital age. Andrew hopes that by sharing their personal experiences and challenges, they can inspire young people to stay in their hometown and continue to grow.
