IPOH: Taj International College (TIC) Ipoh has introduced the use of artificial intelligence (AI) and digital technology to prepare students for the demands of today’s job market.
AI elements will be integrated into the upcoming sessions of the Diploma in Digital Business Management and Diploma in Digital Information Technology programs.
TIC Executive Chairman, Tina Tajuddin, stated that incorporating AI provides students with current skills aligned with the growing use of such technologies in modern careers.
She added that the inclusion of AI and digital elements also came in response to feedback received from educational institutions and industry players.
“Exposure to AI is essential in building students’ knowledge, helping them become better prepared to use the technology in both their personal lives and careers.
“This is because AI and digital fields are no longer emerging technologies; in fact, today’s younger generation is already mastering these skills,” she said.
Tina further explained that, in addition to the digital programs, TIC will also introduce a TESL (Teaching English as a Second Language) Education Program this year, offering specialized training in English language education.
She said this course provides opportunities for students interested in the education field, particularly in English, to become future educators.
“English education is not only aimed at producing teachers, but also plays a vital role across all professions as an international language.
“Our first intake this year offers a diploma-level program, with plans to launch a degree-level intake in the future,” she added.
This year, TIC is targeting the enrollment of 1,000 new students, prioritizing youths from the state of Perak in line with the Perak Sejahtera 2030 aspirations.
