BATU GAJAH: A total of 17 stray dogs were successfully caught in five locations around Batu Gajah recently.
The Batu Gajah District Council (MDBG) said in a statement that the operation was carried out to control the stray dog population, which could affect the safety and comfort of residents.
According to the statement, the five capture locations were Taman Sriwangsa Bandar Pulai Jaya, Kampung Kepayang, the public market, and the Fire and Rescue Academy.
“This operation is also part of MDBG’s ongoing efforts to maintain public cleanliness and well-being.
“MDBG is committed to ensuring a safe, clean, and conducive environment for the local community,” the statement said.
MDBG also urged the community to cooperate by reporting the presence of stray dogs in their respective areas, and to practice responsible pet ownership for the sake of shared safety and harmony.
