NASAM Held Fundraising Dinner

The National Stroke Association of Malaysia (NASAM) Perak held a fundraising dinner on 24 May, in order to continue their work of providing rehabilitation care to stroke survivors.

A welcome speech was given by Mr. Prasantha Rao, the physiotherapist in-charge, thanking all the guests for their support of NASAM.

A speech was then given by Mr. Kathiravan, the head of rehabilitation at NASAM headquarters, who highlighted that NASAM was not simply providing rehabilitation for the initial recovery of stroke survivors, but that they also follow-up to ensure that the stroke survivors improve their quality of life, and that there is life after stroke.

YB Goh See Hua, the ADUN of Pasir Pinji, then offered his appreciation for the good works of NASAM in ensuring that there is life after stroke, and noted that stroke was not isolated to the elderly, but even the young. He encouraged the people to lead a healthy lifestyle and diet, to help prevent strokes from occurring.

YB Goh See Hua also announced that RM 5000.00 will be allotted to NASAM, to assist in their continued service to the community.

It was an eventful night with various dance performances, such as line and zumba dances. As well as lucky draws, made possible thanks to generous sponsors.
