IPOH: Liverpool FC supporters in Ipoh, known as Kop End Ipoh, made history by organising Malaysia’s inaugural open-top bus parade to celebrate the club’s 20th English Premier League title.

Held recently, the parade featured a specially arranged double-decker ‘Hop-on, Hop-off’ bus.

The open-top bus was adorned with Liverpool-themed decorations and showcased a replica of the Premier League trophy, amplifying the festive atmosphere.

Forty devoted fans boarded the bus on a first-come, first-served basis, while hundreds more joined the procession on motorcycles and cars, accompanying the bus throughout its route.

The parade traversed several iconic locations in Ipoh, including Gerbang Malam, Ipoh Parade, Palo 101, Little India, and the KTM Railway Station, before returning to Ipoh Padang.

Each stop provided fans the opportunity to capture memorable moments with the parade bus.

The highlight of the event was a lucky draw held at the conclusion of the programme.

The grand prize, sponsored by Sports Graphixx Tour & Event, was a pair of tickets to a Liverpool match at Anfield for the 2025/2026 season, offering a fortunate fan the exclusive chance to experience a live match in England.

This parade not only symbolised unwavering support for Liverpool FC but also reflected the deep unity and passion of local fans for the club.

It marked a historic achievement as the first open-top bus parade organised by a football supporters’ club in Malaysia.

The success of this event is hoped to inspire other supporters’ clubs to organise similar activities, further strengthening the football fan culture in the country.

The event was organised by Kop End Ipoh’s administrators Sundaresan Raman, Edwin Seibel, and TJ Tan.
