Aidiladha celebration in Jelapang Strengthens community unity

IPOH: Hari Raya Aidiladha holds deep meaning.

It is not only about the religious practice of korban (sacrificial offering), but also about the values of sacrifice, sincerity, and caring for fellow human beings.

These values were embraced by the multiracial community in the Jelapang State Assembly constituency through a Hari Raya Aidiladha gathering held at Taman Silibin.

Jelapang State Assemblyman, Cheah Pou Hian, expressed his heartfelt gratitude as the host of the event, as it successfully brought together people from diverse backgrounds in a warm and harmonious atmosphere.

He said the turnout reflected the true strength of Malaysians — unity in diversity.

“As a people’s representative, I believe our responsibility goes beyond building infrastructure. It is also about fostering a spirit of togetherness and compassion within the community.

“Events like this are one of the ways to nurture mutual respect and understanding, so that our society continues to live in peace and harmony,” he said.

The Hari Raya Aidiladha gathering was attended by over 200 local residents.

Pou Hian also extended his gratitude to all parties who contributed to the success of the event — from mosque staff, community volunteers, local vendors, to the entire hardworking organizing team.

He also prayed that this Aidiladha celebration brings blessings to all, and that the harmony established continues to be filled with unity and love.
