Perak State Executive Councillor for Housing and Local Government, Sandrea Ng Shy Ching, said the program brought together communities from several Orang Asli villages within the Teja state constituency (DUN Teja).
“Various exciting activities took place throughout the day.
“These included sepak takraw competitions, karaoke, tug-of-war, and many more,” she said.
Sandrea stated that the activities helped to foster a spirit of sportsmanship and unity in a lively atmosphere.
She added that the organizers also invited various government agencies to participate and enrich the event.
“Several government agencies were involved, including the Health Office, Department of Information, PERKESO, and others.
“These agencies set up exhibition booths to share information about government policies and services available to the community.
“Congratulations to all the participating agencies, including the Department of Information, the Department of Orang Asli Development (JAKOA), and others who collaborated to ensure the success of this carnival,” she said.
She further expressed hope that the program would help strengthen the bonds between the community and the agencies for the betterment of all.
