By Zaki Salleh

MANJUNG: More than 200,000 Malaysians from various backgrounds gathered at the MADANI Rakyat 2025 Perak program held at Lumut Waterfront over three days, beginning on June 13.

The three-day event was a strategic collaboration between the Ministry of Higher Education (KPT) as the lead ministry and the Perak state government as the host.

Also involved was the Performance Acceleration Coordination Unit (PACU) under the Prime Minister’s Department.

Perak marked the third location for this year’s MADANI Rakyat program, following previous editions in Tawau and Johor.

The public took the opportunity to explore exhibition booths from various government and private agencies throughout the event.

This extensive participation aligns with the MADANI government’s approach, which emphasizes inclusivity, well-being, and effective service delivery to the people.

A wide range of facilities and engaging activities were available, including mobile service counters, Rahmah sales, free health screenings, and interactive exhibitions from both government and private entities.

For example, the Manjung Municipal Council took part by setting up a myMANJUNG promotional counter and a mobile collection unit, making it easier for locals to handle municipal matters directly.

A special highlight was the offer of up to 70% discounts on parking compound fines throughout the event.

Earlier, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim officiated the closing ceremony of the MADANI Rakyat 2025 Perak program at Lumut Waterfront.
