KERIAN: The Perak State Farmers’ Organisation has allocated a Matching Grant totaling RM450,000 to 185 recipients from 20 Area Farmers’ Organisations (PPK) across the state.
The State Executive Councillor for Rural Development, Plantation, Agriculture, and Food Industry, Datuk Mohd Zolkafly Harun, was present at the 2025 Perak State-Level Agricultural Machinery and Equipment Handover Ceremony held at Dewan Dato’ Zainal Abidin Zin, Bagan Serai.
“I hope this Matching Grant aid (for the acquisition of agricultural equipment and machinery) will help increase crop yields,” said Mohd Zolkafly.
He added that the state government remains committed to strengthening the crop production sector in Perak.
“Especially in ensuring that Perak continues to be one of the country’s main rice producers,” he said.
Also present at the event were Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Datuk Arthur Joseph Kurup; Chairman of the Farmers’ Organisation Authority, Datuk Wira Haji Mahfuz Omar; Director-General of the Farmers’ Organisation Authority, Amir Matamin; and Director of the Perak State Farmers’ Organisation Authority, Dzulfadzli Johan.
