BAGAN SERAI: There is no greater joy than reconnecting with old friends from school, a sentiment shared by more than 50 former students of Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Bagan Serai during a recent reunion gathering.
The event, held at K Garden Hotel in Bagan Serai, brought together former schoolmates who have since carved successful paths in various professions.
Dr. Menon Manasa, president of the SMK Bagan Serai alumni group, expressed her delight at being able to bring together so many former classmates under one roof.
“The two-day event brought back fond memories of our school days.
“Many of us now live and work across different states, including Kedah and Penang, and even as far as Singapore. It was a heartwarming experience to reconnect and reminisce,” she said.
During the gathering, alumni participated in several group activities and enjoyed a dinner reception.
Dr. Menon added that the establishment of the alumni association aims not only to strengthen bonds among former students but also to give back to the school.
“We hope to contribute in any way we can, whether to the school or its current students,” she added.
