By Aida Aziz

KAMPAR:The Kampar Cultural Parade and Car-Free Day held on Saturday night successfully attracted more than 3,000 local and international visitors.

The event was organized by the Kampar District Council (MDKpr) in collaboration with the Seng Fatt Buddhist Devotees Association of Kampar.

It was more than just an ordinary parade—it was a large-scale cultural showcase that brought together the heritage of multiple ethnic groups in a harmonious atmosphere.

The event was enlivened with dragon and lion dance performances, drum displays from various ethnic communities, and traditional costumes that highlighted the unique multicultural identity of Kampar’s residents.

Various artistic, musical, and street performances supported the Car-Free Day initiative, which was held concurrently with the parade.

The parade also formed part of an initiative to promote Kampar through the beYoutiful@Kampar campaign, aimed at boosting cultural and heritage tourism.
