IPOH: The arrival area at the Ipoh Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM) Station is now more comfortable and user-friendly following recent upgrade works.
This update was shared by Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB), who also noted that the improvements are part of ongoing efforts by the Railway Assets Corporation (RAC).
“The arrival area at Ipoh Station now has a new look—more spacious, comfortable, and user-friendly.
“This upgrade is part of RAC’s continuous effort to enhance facilities and comfort for all customers using our services.
“These improvements provide passengers with a smoother and more pleasant travel experience, whether for daily commuting or family vacations,” KTMB said in a statement here today.
Earlier media reports noted that the over 100-year-old train station underwent refurbishment works completed in May.
The upgrades included repairing leaking ceilings, and improvements to the cafeteria and restrooms, which had previously received numerous complaints from users.
RAC also confirmed that the historic Majestic Hotel, located within the heritage building, will be restored as part of the station’s phased restoration project.
