Damaged Bridge in Kampung Sungai Tapah, Manjoi Repaired

IPOH: The complaints of Manjoi residents about the damaged bridge near the entrance to Kampung Sungai Tapah, which was in dire need of repair, have finally been heard.

The bridge guardrails, which were previously in a hazardous condition, have now been repaired.

Manjoi State Assemblyman (Adun), Hafez Sabri, said that there had been an accident in the past where a car skidded and fell into the river at that location.

“Alhamdulillah, the issue of the bridge near the entrance to Kampung Sungai Tapah Manjoi, which recently went viral, has been resolved and properly repaired.

“The metal guardrails have been installed. Hopefully, the safety of residents and road users in the area will now be better ensured, InshaAllah,” he said.

Hafez, on behalf of the community and residents, expressed his heartfelt thanks to the Ipoh City Council for responding promptly to resolve the issue.

Previously, residents’ concerns about the bridge near the entrance to Kampung Sungai Tapah were also highlighted by Ipoh Echo / Peraktastic.

In the report, Manjoi residents had urged the relevant authorities and agencies to reinstall the guardrails on the bridge without delay.

This bridge is crucial as it serves as the main route for residents of Manjoi, Jelapang, and the surrounding areas.
