Follow Premises Hygiene Regulations to Avoid Action

BATANG PADANG: A total of 205 notices for various offences were issued during the Perak Clean and Healthy Operation (Southern Zone) Series 5/2025 in the Batang Padang district.

This includes areas such as the PLUS Highway Rest and Service Areas (R&Rs) within the district.

Out of the total, 96 notices were issued under the Food Act 1983, including one food premises closure.

Additionally, 100 compound notices and one non-compoundable offence notice were issued under the Control of Smoking Products for Public Health Act 2024.

Furthermore, four larval collection notices and four notices under Section 8 of the Destruction of Disease-Bearing Insects Act 1975 were also issued.

The operation was coordinated by the Inspectorate and Legal Branch of the Perak State Health Department, in collaboration with the Batang Padang District Health Office.

A total of 55 officers were involved, divided into 11 teams from six District Health Offices in the Southern Zone of the state.

The operation aimed to educate the public on the importance of personal health care and compliance with public health laws, especially in public areas.

The public and food premises operators are reminded to always comply with the set regulations for the well-being and health of the community.
