GARBAGE VIGILANTE: Trash Pile-Up Along Jalan Rapat Jaya an Eyesore

By Zaki Salleh

IPOH: A pile of garbage left unattended by the roadside along Jalan Rapat Jaya here for over two weeks has raised questions.

The unsightly mess not only spoils the view but also sparks concerns about waste collection management—or whether the garbage has been deliberately ignored.

The heaps of trash along the road are not only unpleasant to look at but also raise serious public health and hygiene concerns.

A closer inspection revealed that the waste includes tree branches, household rubbish, and discarded furniture, all dumped in the open.

“I pass by here every day. It’s hard to believe that no action has been taken up to now,” said a local resident who wished to be known only as Nazmi Faiz Ahmad.

Questions have arisen over whether the garbage has been intentionally left without action, or if there’s simply a delay in the waste collection schedule.

This issue not only affects nearby residents but could also harm the overall image of the area.

Such unmanaged conditions may create a negative perception of the town’s cleanliness and maintenance standards.
