IPOH: Breast cancer awareness is vital for at-risk groups to ensure early detection and timely treatment.
As part of a community outreach effort, the public is invited to join the Breast Cancer Awareness Program happening this Thursday (August 14) at the Outpatient Department compound of Batu Gajah Hospital.

Running from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, the program is jointly organized by Batu Gajah Hospital, the Hospital Visitors Board, and the Breast Cancer Welfare Association Malaysia (BCWA).
The event aims to raise public awareness on the importance of early breast cancer detection.
One of the main highlights is free clinical breast examinations, open to all women regardless of background. The screenings will be conducted by qualified healthcare personnel, providing participants an opportunity to learn more about early detection and available treatments.
In addition, attendees can take part in various other health activities throughout the day, such as blood donation drives and PEKA B40 health screenings.
Organizers hope to attract strong participation from the local community to boost awareness about the dangers of breast cancer and the importance of regular check-ups.
The public is also encouraged to bring family and friends to support the event.
Beyond health benefits, the program aims to strengthen community spirit in the fight against cancer.
Health is the greatest gift.
