IPOH: Ipoh took centre stage as the opening location for Madani Rakyat 2026, with YAB Prime Minister, Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, officiating the event on April 4 at Bulatan Sultan Azlan Shah, Meru.
Perak Chief Minister, YAB Dato’ Seri Saarani Mohamad, said the three-day programme brings together a range of initiatives including health services, employment opportunities, welfare assistance, inter-agency services, and the Jualan Rahmah MADANI, aimed at easing the burden of the public amid rising cost of living and global economic uncertainties.
“Madani Rakyat is more than a government programme. It is a symbol that the government stands with the people during challenging times, providing support directly and meaningfully,” he said.
He added that the initiative aligns with the Perak Sejahtera 2030 plan, which aims for a more resilient state economy, expanded employment opportunities, and better quality of life for the people.
The programme also provides the public with an opportunity to engage directly with the government, reflecting a spirit of collaboration between the Federal Government, the State Government, and the community, to build a stronger and more stable foundation for the future.
