Merdeka Fun Ride 2025 Lights Up Merdeka Eve

IPOH: More than 1,000 participants brought vibrant energy to the Merdeka Fun Ride 2025 held last night at Persiaran Bandaraya, in front of the Ipoh City Council (MBI) building.

This leisurely cycling event aimed to ignite patriotic spirit while celebrating the diversity of Malaysia’s multiracial society through a healthy and entertaining activity.

Running from 8:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., the event featured two ride categories: the VIP Category and the Open Category.

In addition to the ride, participants and visitors were entertained with musical and dance performances by the Gema Warisan Budaya MBI troupe, a special show by the band I Am Neeta, and a lucky draw offering prizes worth a total of RM5,000.

Adding to the festive mood, rows of stalls lined Persiaran Bandaraya, offering a variety of local delicacies and featuring participation from private agencies.

Merdeka Fun Ride 2025 served as a great platform for Ipoh residents to gather, interact, and express their patriotic spirit, while enjoying a cycling activity with family and friends.

The program was not only filled with cheerful cycling but also enriched with various engaging activities designed to foster unity and harmony within the community.

Earlier in the evening, the ride was officially flagged off by Perak State Executive Councillor for Housing and Local Government, Sandrea Ng, representing the Chief Minister, and attended by Ipoh Mayor Zamakshari Hanipah.
