GOPENG: The atmosphere in Kampung Rawa was recently enlivened by the vibrant celebration of the 2025 Lantern Festival.
Perak State Executive Councillor for Housing and Local Government, Sandrea Ng Shy Ching, said the event brought together local residents in a spirit of unity and togetherness.
“In addition to the colourful lantern parade, the festival was filled with various exciting activities.
“Among them were traditional games and wushu performances.
“This programme has truly become an event that connects people from all walks of life,” she said.
Sandrea added that such celebrations are opportunities to continue telling the stories of inherited culture.
“These are the stories of villages that shape identity and history, stories that should be known by the younger generation.
“From here grows a sense of belonging and strength within the community. May the spirit of unity and harmony continue to thrive among us,” she said.
