GERIK: Fiesta Loma Gerik 2025 took place in a grand and lively atmosphere, drawing thousands of visitors.
Chairman of the Perak State Committee on Women’s Development, Family, Community Welfare, Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives, Datuk Salbiah Mohamed, said the festive spirit reflects the strong support of the community towards the event.
“My heartfelt appreciating and thanks go to all the people of Gerik and visitors from within and outside the state who came and gave their full support throughout the three-day fiesta.
“May Fiesta Loma continue to be an iconic event that brings prosperity and promotes the uniqueness of the Gerik district nationwide,” she said.
Earlier, the Raja Muda of Perak, Raja Jaafar Raja Muda Musa, graciously officiated the launch of the Rafting Competition.
Previously, Ipoh Echo/Peraktastic reported that this much-anticipated annual festival, loved by Gerik locals and visitors from across the country, made its return with a vibrant celebration held at Dataran Kampung Jong and Dataran Loma Kuala Rui, Gerik.
Among the exciting activities held over the three-day program were various competitions including raft races, sauk loma (fish scooping), traditional folk games, water sports, exhibitions, and sales.
