TELUK INTAN — The iconic Leaning Tower of Teluk Intan once again shines brightly with colourful decorative lights in conjunction with the Deepavali celebration.
The vibrant display is more than just a festive decoration — it symbolises harmony, unity, and the spirit of Malaysia Madani that continues to light up the local community.

Pasir Bedamar assemblyman and State Executive Councillor for Domestic Trade, Consumer Affairs and Chinese Villages, Woo Kah Leong, said the initiative was organised by DAP Teluk Intan.

He explained that the Leaning Tower is beautifully decorated to mark three major national celebrations — Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Chinese New Year, and Deepavali.
“Each light represents togetherness and mutual respect among all races and faiths. Teluk Intan is not just a historical town, but a true symbol of Malaysia’s harmony, where people of different backgrounds live in understanding and respect,” he said.
Woo added that the community should continue to cherish and preserve this spirit of diversity, ensuring Teluk Intan remains a source of pride for the entire nation.
