IPOH – The Gendang Tanpa Henti (Longest Non-Stop Gendang Session) performance is set to make history as it will be recorded in the Malaysia Book of Records in conjunction with the Karnival dan Konsert Gendang Madani 2025 (KKGM2025).
The four-day carnival will take place from November 6 to 9, 2025, at Bulatan Sultan Azlan Shah, Meru.

Perak Tourism Committee Chairman Dato’ Mohamad Kamil Dato’ Shafie said the event will mark Malaysia’s first-ever Gendang Tanpa Henti performance, featuring six professional drummers performing continuously for 68 hours using more than five types of drums, showcasing a variety of rhythmic styles.
“This is a mega event celebrating the beauty of art, spirituality, and culture. KKGM2025 also serves as the closing highlight for the year 2025 and adds value to the Visit Malaysia Year 2026 campaign,” he said during a press conference at the Tourism Perak office today.

He added that this will be the third time the event is being held, following previous editions in Melaka and Shah Alam. The carnival is also expected to attract both domestic and international tourists to Perak, particularly to the city of Ipoh.
The opening ceremony will be officiated by His Royal Highness Raja DiHilir Perak, Raja Iskandar Dzurkarnain Ibni Almarhum Sultan Idris A’fifullah Shah.
Among the main highlights are special performances by Rabbani, Hazeq Rosebi, and Azlan Typewriter, who will share the main stage in a performance filled with spiritual and nostalgic elements.

Throughout the four-day event, visitors can also look forward to various activities, including a parachute show, fire and silat performances, and the Gendang Madani competition alongside the Battle of the Bands.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, Food Mania by Letops Fest will bring together local food vendors, viral street snacks, and traditional dishes — promising a memorable culinary experience for all attendees.
To make it even more exciting, visitors will also stand a chance to win attractive prizes through lucky draws, including a motorcycle and exclusive merchandise throughout the carnival.
Meanwhile, Mega Nice Creative Managing Director Azi Azuwa said the carnival is not just a family entertainment event but also aims to foster cultural unity and togetherness.
“KKGM2025 is expected to become a meeting point between generations, reviving traditional heritage with a new and spirited touch,” she said.
