IPOH — Residents in flood-affected areas are urged to contact their respective District Disaster Operations Control Centres (PKOB) if they require assistance or further information on the current flood situation.
Authorities said the prompt communication will help ensure that aid can be delivered swiftly to those affected.
Residents in high-risk areas have also been reminded to remain vigilant and stay updated on weather conditions, as well as to avoid flooded areas or roads submerged in water.
The public is further advised to follow instructions issued by the authorities from time to time and to prioritise their personal and family safety.
Meanwhile, the state government, through its rescue agencies, has mobilised personnel to affected locations to monitor the situation and assist victims in need of temporary shelter.
