GERIK: The Perak State Women and Community Development Secretariat (SPW) successfully organized the ‘Dress to Express’ program to enhance the professional image of career women at the Gerik District Council Hall recently.
Perak Committee Chairman for Women, Family, Community Welfare and Entrepreneur Development, Dato’ Salbiah Mohamed, said the program — held in collaboration with the Yong Gerik Club — attracted 80 participants from among civil servants, NGOs, and the local community.
“The main objective of this program is to provide exposure on quality self-presentation.
“Professional dressing styles, and building self-confidence through a positive image,” she said.
Salbiah added that, as emphasized in the module, the way one dresses reflects professionalism and emotional well-being.
“Congratulations to all participants who showed great commitment during the interactive session with the image consultant.
“It is hoped that the knowledge gained will inspire women to continue strengthening their capabilities and potential,” she said.
