IPOH: Perak State Government through Tourism Perak has organized the Perak Tourism Sales Mission and Business-to-Business (B2B) Session in Hatyai, Songkhla, Thailand.


According to a statement from Tourism Perak, the initiative aims to strengthen cross-border tourism cooperation.
“It is also intended to expand industrial networks and create new collaboration opportunities between Perak and Southern Thailand in the lead-up to the Visit Malaysia Year 2026 campaign,” the statement said.
The program was officiated by Mohd Zairasyahli Shah Zakaria, Secretary of the Local Government Division, representing Perak Tourism Executive Councillor Loh Sze Yee.
Also present were Deputy Director of Tourism Malaysia Bangkok, Azamuddin Abdul Razak; Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Hatyai Office, Navaporn Chuachomket; Chairman of the Tourism Association of Songkhla, Songchai Mungprasithichai; and President of the Thai Travel Agents’ Association (TTAA) Lower Southern Chapter, Jiralak Padungpakdeewong.


The program served as an important platform to strengthen bilateral relations between Perak and Thailand.
“As well as to enhance strategic networking among tourism players and travel agents from both countries.
“This initiative is also expected to open more avenues for collaboration, increase tourist arrivals, and further boost Perak’s tourism sector ahead of Visit Malaysia Year 2026,” it said.
Additionally, the event was further enlivened by the presence of representatives from Thai tourism associations, media, and local industry players.
