IPOH – Politeknik Ungku Omar’s (PUO) Student Associates of the Islamic Propagation Foundation of Malaysia (RSY YADIM) received the Special Recognition Award for Best RSY Group at the Madani Rakan Siswa YADIM 2025 Convention held recently in Kuala Lumpur.
The recognition was awarded in appreciation of the group’s dynamic leadership and strong commitment to implementing various dakwah and community-driven initiatives at the campus, national, and international levels.

The achievement was spearheaded by RSY PUO Chairperson for the 2024/2025 session, Nur Sumayyah Mohd Yusof, alongside her team, who actively organised impactful programmes focused on character building and social empowerment.
Among the key initiatives that elevated PUO’s reputation are the MADANI Cambodia 2025 International Humanitarian Mission (MADA’25), the National-level Multaqa MADANI PolyCC, and efforts to revive RSY chapters across 36 polytechnics nationwide.
RSY PUO also recorded the highest national membership, with nearly 800 active members, making it the largest RSY group in Malaysia.
The closing ceremony of the convention was officiated by YADIM President, Datuk Dr Hasan Bahrom, who represented the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs), Senator Dato’ Setia Dr Haji Mohd Na’im Haji Mokhtar.
In his speech, Datuk Dr Hasan emphasised that the RSY generation must become agents of change grounded in knowledge, civility, and wisdom to ensure that the message of dakwah is embraced holistically by society.
The ceremony also witnessed the presentation of appointment letters to the RSY National Executive Council for the 2025/2026 term, where Nur Sumayyah was once again appointed among the top national leaders, continuing PUO’s legacy of excellence in RSY leadership.
