IPOH: The Perak State Legislative Assembly (DUN) sitting this time will be the focus of attention as it features the presentation of the 2026 State Budget by the Menteri Besar, Dato’ Seri Saarani Mohamad.
The Perak DUN session is scheduled to take place from November 25 to December 2.
The main agenda will be the tabling of the 2026 Supply Enactment and the 2026 Development Fund Motion by the Menteri Besar.
Perak residents can follow the proceedings live via the Perak State Legislative Assembly YouTube channel, the official portal of the Perak State Government, and the Facebook page of the Perak State Secretary’s Office.
The Speaker of the Perak State Assembly, Datuk Seri Mohammad Zahir Abdul Khalid, said this is the best opportunity for the people of Perak to follow the DUN proceedings and stay informed about state developments.
“All State Assembly Members will be given the opportunity to participate in the debate session, which is scheduled to begin on the second day of the sitting, November 26.
“The time allocated for government supporters and the opposition leader is 45 minutes each, while other Assembly Members will each have 20 minutes for their debates,” he said in a statement.
Mohammad Zahir further explained that the Perak State Assembly will also consider three other motions during this sitting.
“There are three motions to appoint members of the Select Committees, involving the Standing Orders Committee, the Privileges and Freedom Committee, and the Members’ Welfare Committee,” he added.
