TELUK INTAN: A visit by personnel from the Hilir Perak District Police Headquarters (IPD) to the Jaz Teluk Intan Orphanage Welfare Organisation brought joy to the children living there.
Their happiness was clearly visible as they welcomed the police officers, led by Hilir Perak District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Dr. Bakri Hj Zainal Abidin.

Their arrival was first greeted by the Chairman of the Jaz Teluk Intan Orphanage Welfare Organisation, Kong Sun Chin, along with the children residing at the home.
The Friendly Visit Programme by the Hilir Perak District Police Chief was among the efforts to strengthen ties with the community.
Bakri also presented souvenirs and contributions to the children as a symbol of love and moral support from the personnel of IPD Hilir Perak.

The care centre, in return, presented a certificate of appreciation to the District Police Chief as a token of gratitude for the police’s concern for the local community.
The event was further enlivened with a sign-language song performance titled Kasih Ibu (“A Mother’s Love”) by the children, followed by the presentation of handmade “Thank You Abang & Kakak Polis” (“Thank You Police Brothers & Sisters”) cards created by the children themselves.
Next, the officers were taken on a tour of the dormitories and activity hall to observe the facilities and daily living environment of the children at the centre.
The programme continued with a casual session, giving the children an opportunity to interact warmly with the police officers.
