IPOH – More than 60 local artists from various artistic disciplines gathered for the Lakar Agung @ Kuala Sepetang 2025 Visual Art Exhibition, which was officially launched last Sunday.
The event highlights the natural beauty, culture, and heritage of Kuala Sepetang, which define Perak’s artistic identity.
The launch ceremony was officiated by the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC), Datuk Shaharuddin Abu Sohot.
Held at the Casuarina Convention Centre 3, Casuarina @ Meru in Ipoh, the event was attended by representatives from various tourism and art agencies.
Organised through the collaboration of multiple parties, the programme aims to strengthen Malaysia’s visual arts ecosystem.
It also provides opportunities for artists from diverse backgrounds to showcase their creative works to the public.
Running from November 16 to 23, 2025, the exhibition offers the community a chance to experience and explore the world of visual arts.
The initiative further encourages public appreciation of local artworks as part of Perak’s cultural attractions.
In a statement, Tourism Perak welcomed visitors to enliven the exhibition and called on the public to support the growth of local arts as a valuable cultural asset of the state.
