MDTM Launches 5R Awareness Campaign Competition

TANJONG MALIM: Initiatives to raise public awareness about reducing the use of single-use plastic bags continue to be implemented in support of environmental sustainability.

The Tanjong Malim District Council (MDTM) is also taking part through the organisation of the MDTM 2025 5R Awareness Campaign Competition

5R stands for Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Recover.

The competition is open to all Malaysian residents who live in the Muallim district.

This campaign provides participants with the opportunity to express their creativity while cultivating a sustainable lifestyle through three interesting categories:

short video competition, digital poster creation, and reusable material invention (for household use).

In its statement, MDTM said the competition not only allows participants to contribute ideas toward environmental sustainability but also offers cash prizes as appreciation.

The competition opens on 25 November and closes on 18 December 2025 before midnight.

Each category offers a grand prize of up to RM200, along with digital certificates of participation for all participants who submit complete entries.
