SMK Convent Teluk Intan receives allocation to upgrade school facilities

By Zaki Salleh

TELUK INTAN: Educational needs remain a top priority for the government to ensure that students receive the best possible learning experience.

In line with this, an allocation of RM69,000 has been provided to Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Convent Teluk Intan.

The funds will help the school add Smart TVs, repair the roof, and strengthen basic facilities for the comfort of students.

The contribution was presented by Pasir Berdamar State Assemblyman, Woo Kau Woh, during his visit to the school.

During the visit, the school principal also highlighted urgent needs at the school canteen, particularly aging tables, chairs, and fans that are no longer suitable for use.

“I immediately gave assurance that the Member of Parliament for Teluk Intan, who is also the Minister of Housing and Local Government, Nga Kor Ming, will assist next year.

“I also requested the school to submit an official application early next year so that approval can be expedited.

“Our goal is clear to ensure that SMK Convent students can enjoy a cleaner and more comfortable dining space as soon as possible,” he said in a post on his Facebook page.

He added that regardless of the type of school, the government’s commitment remains the same: go to the ground, understand the needs, channel allocations, and return for follow-up monitoring.
