IPOH — Local digital media excellence continued to gain recognition as Ipoh Echo secured third place in the Perak Sejahtera 2030 Best Digital News Award (Non-Malay Language) at the Perak Media Night 2025, held at Galasa Caldwell here last night.

The award was presented by Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad, who also handed over a RM500 mock cheque to Ipoh Echo bureau chief Rosli Mansor Ahmad Razali, in recognition of the platform’s contribution to strengthening quality digital journalism in the state.

According to the organisers, the recognition was based on the quality of reporting, factual accuracy and the ability to highlight sustainable development narratives, in line with the Perak Sejahtera 2030 aspirations.

Rosli, who also authored the winning report, clinched third place with his article titled “1 Lasam, Perak’s First GBI Platinum Green Building”, which spotlighted the achievements of an iconic Ipoh building in the field of sustainable architecture.

He described the award as a source of motivation not only for himself, but also for local digital media practitioners to continue producing impactful and informative reports for the public.
