IPOH – Perak Menteri Besar Saarani Mohamad today officiated the Ramadan Bazaar at the grounds of Stadium Perak, one of the main hotspots for the public seeking breaking-of-fast delicacies on the first day of Ramadan.
He also conducted a walkabout session to inspect the stalls at the bazaar site while engaging with traders and visitors.

At the same time, he presented aprons to traders as a sign of support for their efforts in enlivening the Ramadan atmosphere, as well as to help enhance cleanliness and professionalism in business operations.
Saarani also took time to visit the Mobile Surau by Ipoh City Council (MBI) and MB Inc, which was provided for the convenience of visitors and traders to perform their religious obligations throughout the month of Ramadan.
A total of 220 stall lots have been approved by MBI for Ramadan bazaar traders at the stadium grounds to ensure smooth business operations while offering a wide variety of food choices to visitors.

The first day of fasting saw the Ramadan Bazaar at Stadium Perak attracting large crowds, with visitors arriving as early as the afternoon to purchase a wide range of breaking-of-fast dishes.
A visitor, Jamaliah Baharuddin, 35, from Jelapang, said she never misses the opportunity to visit the bazaar every year to purchase food for her family.
“This Ramadan bazaar at the stadium is among the first bazaar sites I visit because it offers a wide variety of attractive dishes for breaking fast.
“The prices of the food are reasonable and affordable for all groups. Initially, I thought prices might be higher due to the current economic situation, but after coming here myself, I found that most items start from as low as RM2, which is very worthwhile,” she said.
Observations found the bazaar to be lively, featuring various traditional and modern delicacies that continue to attract visitors throughout Ramadan.
