IPOH: More than 50 dishes, including the ‘killer’ sup tulang berdengung (bone marrow soup), take centre stage at the Santapan Iftar Nusantara Ramadan Buffet Dinner 2026 at MH Hotel Ipoh.

The buffet, running from February 20 to March 19, 2026, at the hotel’s MH Grand Ballroom on level five, features a variety of local and Western cuisine, alongside Chinese and Indian selections, while maintaining the same prices as the past two years.

Head Chef Gosti Mohammad Firdaus Abd Aziz said the uniqueness of this year’s Ramadan buffet lies in its diverse menu, which changes daily, as well as its authentic dishes that cater to Malaysia’s multi-ethnic palate.

He said among the main highlights are the sup tulang berdengung and Nusantara lamb soup, which remain customer favourites each year.

“We offer more than 50 types of dishes, including main courses such as patin tempoyak and prawn tempoyak, which are synonymous with Perak’s local flavours.

“In addition, we feature four different menu sets that rotate daily to provide variety for guests,” he said.

He added that other popular selections include nasi kapsah, grilled lamb and lamb shoulder, which are served daily, as well as a variety of kerabu appetisers and dessert options.

“We also incorporate elements of Chinese and Indian cuisine such as lamb paratha and lamb kurma, alongside Western dishes like BBQ chicken and roasted chicken,” he said.

According to him, response to the hotel’s Ramadan buffet continues to be encouraging, with the hotel receiving up to 500 guests daily last year.

The hotel has maintained its buffet prices despite adding more menu items.

“The price is set at RM58.80 for adults, RM51.80 for senior citizens and RM44.80 for children, while a special promotion for group bookings of more than three people offers a rate of RM55 for adults.

“In addition, an early bird promotion of buy nine free one is available for bookings made before February 5, 2026,” he said.

The Ramadan buffet, which highlights traditional kampung-style cuisine with a Nusantara touch, can accommodate between 450 and 500 guests at one time.

For reservations, the public may contact MH Hotel at 05-545 1000 or the hotel’s designated number for further information.
