IPOH: An uncovered manhole posing a danger to road users was spotted along the busy main road near Jalan Sultan Nazrin Shah today.
A road user said the manhole was left wide open, with members of the public placing palm fronds and pieces of wood as a warning sign for other motorists.
“I passed through the road this morning and noticed the hole with its cover already removed.
“It is located near the junction of Jalan Sultan Nazrin Shah and Jalan Harilela, right beside a blue-coloured house,” he said.
In reality, such incidents are not new, as Ipoh residents have grown accustomed to such situations.
It is hoped that the relevant authorities will monitor the issue, which has persisted for a long time, to ensure public safety.
