IPOH: A lively atmosphere filled Parking Zone A today as members of the public rushed to collect nearly 800 packs of bubur lambuk distributed via drive-thru by Pantai Hospital Ipoh in conjunction with the hospital’s 30th anniversary.
The special Ramadan programme was organised as a token of appreciation for the community’s continued support over the past three decades.

Adding to the excitement, not only staff members but also the hospital’s medical specialists themselves joined in, working together to prepare the bubur lambuk using three specially prepared cooking cauldrons.
The programme, held in collaboration with Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), began early in the morning, while distribution started at 1pm through a drive-thru system to ensure a fast, smooth and convenient process without visitors needing to leave their vehicles.
The distribution ceremony was officiated by the hospital’s chief executive officer Yow Huai Mim, alongside chief operating officer Cheong Siew Fong and TNB Perak Retail general manager Mohd Suhairi Mohamad Shah.

Also present was Northern Region BSO manager Puan Munirah.
Among the specialists involved in preparing the dish were consultants in cardiology, orthopaedics, obstetrics and gynaecology, oncology, and neurosurgery.
Their participation reflects the commitment of medical professionals not only to delivering healthcare services but also to actively engaging with the community.

As part of the breaking fast meal, each recipient also received BOH Potbags Rose Tea through a collaboration with BOH Plantations.
According to Yow, the initiative reflects the hospital’s values of compassion and corporate social responsibility, which have been central to its operations since its establishment in 1996.
“The response has been very encouraging from people of all walks of life. We also thank TNB for their cooperation in making today’s programme a success.
“The next edition of the Drive-Thru Bubur Lambuk programme is scheduled to take place on March 6 together with AGG Sama Rata,” she told Ipoh Echo/Peraktastic.
Pantai Hospital Ipoh is currently among the major healthcare providers in Perak and the northern region.
The 30th anniversary celebration not only marks the hospital’s achievements but also strengthens strategic partnerships with corporate partners and the local community.
