IPOH: Perak Community Specialist Hospital (PCSH) distributed 2,000 free packs of bubur lambuk to the public through its Semarak Ramadan programme yesterday.

The community hospital introduced a new approach this year by collaborating with the Perak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) for the programme held at the Ipoh Fire and Rescue Station.

PCSH Chief Executive Officer Nicholas Chan said the lamb and chicken bubur lambuk was distributed to the public, including frontliners and nearby agencies.

He said the initiative was a token of appreciation for those serving the community while fostering the spirit of togetherness and sharing during Ramadan.

The bubur lambuk was prepared through a gotong-royong effort involving PCSH staff and fire department personnel, reflecting the spirit of cooperation, unity and volunteerism between both organisations, he added.

Also present were Perak JBPM Director YS PKPjB Datuk Sayani Saidon, PCSH Board Member Datuk Mohd Odzman Kadir, and Deputy Fire Superintendent Rozizah Abnihajar, who also joined in distributing the bubur lambuk to the public.

Nicholas said that as a community hospital, PCSH not only provides medical treatment but also serves as an institution that remains close to the people.

“PCSH serves from the community, for the community. This programme reflects our continued commitment to stand with the public, not only when they are ill but also in moments of togetherness such as Ramadan,” he said.

He added that the collaboration with JBPM also symbolised appreciation for frontliners and strengthened ties between healthcare institutions, security forces and the local community.
