TAIPING: Zoo Taiping & Night Safari (ZTNS) will implement a new ticket price adjustment effective March 15, 2026.
The move aims to ensure the sustainability of operations and strengthen wildlife conservation efforts.

For Malaysian citizens, ticket rates for the zoo are set at RM25 (adult), RM12 (child) and RM10 (senior citizen), while Night Safari tickets are priced at RM30 (adult), RM15 (child) and RM10 (senior citizen).
For non-citizens, ticket rates are RM40 (adult), RM20 (child) and RM20 (senior citizen), while Night Safari tickets are RM50 (adult), RM25 (child) and RM20 (senior citizen).
Zoo Taiping & Night Safari is the only zoo in the country managed by a local authority, namely, the Majlis Perbandaran Taiping (MPT).
MPT president Mohamed Akmal Dahalan said all tickets include tram services.
According to him, despite the ticket price changes, free admission is provided to persons with Disabilities (OKU) cardholders and children under three years old.
“The zoo receives an average of 600,000 visitors annually and houses more than 1,300 animals from 120 species across a 36-hectare area.
“This adjustment marks the first review since 2013, taking into account rising operational costs including habitat maintenance, animal welfare and veterinary care,” he said in a statement.

The revision also involves costs related to public facilities, security and increased animal feed prices in line with current market rates.
Mohamed Akmal stressed that the new rates remain competitive and affordable, while reaffirming the commitment to strengthening conservation, education and maintaining its reputation as a major tourism destination in Perak.
“ZTNS remains committed to enhancing conservation, education and wildlife care efforts, while preserving its historical value for the benefit of present and future generations,” he added.
