IPOH: Heavy rain accompanied by strong winds on Sunday evening resulted in multiple tree-fall incidents across several districts in Perak.
A spokesperson for the Angkatan Pertahanan Awam Malaysia (APM) Perak said a total of 25 cases were reported, with Ipoh and Kampar recording the highest numbers.
The affected areas included Ipoh (10), Kuala Kangsar (1), Larut Matang dan Selama (1), Bagan Datuk, Batang Padang (3), Hilir Perak, Hulu Perak, Kampar (8), Kerian (2), Manjung, Muallim, Perak Tengah, Selama, Pengkalan Hulu and Sungai Siput (1).
In Ipoh, locations impacted by fallen trees included Taman Pulai Heights, SMK Simpang Pulai and Taman Seri Raia.
Meanwhile, in Kampar, affected areas were Batu Berangkai, Kampung Gunong Panjang, Kampung Gunung Mesah Hilir, Kampung Tekah and Taman Lawan Kuda.
