IPOH: Due to a manhole cover that was not level with the road, a motorcyclist skidded and was reportedly seriously injured recently at Jalan Maxwell (Jalan Tun Razak) here.
According to a complainant, complaints regarding the uneven manhole have been made several times, but no changes have been made.
“The issue of the manhole not being level with the road on Jalan Maxwell caused a motorcyclist to skid.
“We have made complaints before this, but they repaired it by doing a half-hearted job,” the complainant claimed.
They added that there are several manholes there that are very dangerous to the public.
Previously, many Ipoh residents acknowledged the same issue regarding manholes that are dangerous to motorcyclists.
The depth of the hole can cause damage to vehicles, let alone to motorcyclists who could fall and endanger their lives.
