IPOH: The Perak Sejahtera 2030 agenda continues to attract international attention after becoming the main focus of a knowledge-sharing session during a visit by delegates of the Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP) 2026 to the Perak State Secretariat Office.

The visit, held at the Perak Darul Ridzuan Building, involved 15 participants from 13 countries who are currently attending a programme organised by the National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN).

Perak State Economic Planning Unit (UPEN) senior deputy director (Policy), Haslinda Alias, said Perak remains committed to strengthening responsive governance centred on the wellbeing of the people through the implementation of the Perak Sejahtera 2030 agenda.

She said the state possesses strategic strengths including natural resources, a skilled workforce, strong infrastructure and biodiversity that support sustainable development.

Meanwhile, Institut Darul Ridzuan (IDR) chief operating officer Azizul Hakim Abd Karim said Perak Sejahtera 2030 was developed as the state’s strategic framework to address global economic challenges, rising living costs and digital transformation.

He said the whole-of-government approach is a key element to ensure all government agencies move in tandem under a unified state development agenda.

The delegation was also briefed on human capital development initiatives under PASAK, including TVET programmes, Talent Perak and the One Citizen One Skill initiative.

In addition, the international participants were introduced to the state’s biodiversity conservation efforts through presentations on the Royal Belum State Park, Kinta Valley Geopark and Pulau Sembilan State Park.

PASAK director Aldrin Ng said talent and skills development remains a priority to ensure Perak’s workforce stays competitive in meeting future industry demands.

The visit is seen not only as an opportunity to showcase Perak’s development strengths at the international level, but also to position Perak Sejahtera 2030 as a holistic governance model balancing economic progress, public wellbeing and future sustainability.
